On Tuesday the 21st of March 2017 4-5.40pm our Cluster Primary Schools participated in the Netball Tournament hosted by Cottingham High School. It was a cold afternoon but all players braved the elements and participated with great attitude and enthusiasm.

The event consisted of five teams Hallgate A and B, Little Weighton, Croxby and Dunswell playing league games against each other. Teams entered had 5-7 competitors, mixed gender from years 5 and 6. Five players competed in the positions of GS, GA, C, GD and a GK. The remaining were substituted after a goal was scored, during breaks or at the start of each game. Two points were awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. The team with the most points won.

This year’s winners are from Hallgate Primary School. We congratulate them and celebrate their success.

I would also like to thank and acknowledge our School Sports Leaders Ella, Rose, Ellie, Imogen, Hollie, Cheryl and all the PE co-ordinators. They helped to organise and officiate the event this year and their contribution has been valuable to Mr Kernaghan.
