On 1 December the Cottingham Cluster Primary Schools participated in the Benchball Tournament hosted by Cottingham High School. 

The event consisted of 4 schools playing league games against each other.  Teams entered had 10 competitors, 5 boys and 5 girls from year 4; with 8 playing using 2 subs.  3 points were awarded for a win, 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss (getting at least 1 player on the opposite bench).  The team with the most points won. 

This year's winners were Dunswell Primary School who have qualified for the next round to be held at Goole Academy in May.  We congratulate them and wish them future success. 

The event was led by Andrew Kernaghan, SSCO, with the assistance of Year 10 and 11 Sport Leaders from Cottingham High who helped to officiate and run another successful cluster event.
