Cottingham High Student through to English Schools Cross-Country Championships

Andrew Kernaghan, PE Teacher and SSCO based at Cottingham High School, recently congratulated three athletes Jamie-Leigh Leedham Yr 7, Doohan Blackburn Yr 10 and Jack Arnold Yr 11 who represented their County at the Humberside Cross-Country Championships on Saturday 6 February.  The event was held at Beverley Longcroft School in strong winds, continuous rain and muddy conditions.  The Cottingham High students ran against athletes representing East Riding, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and Hull schools.

Jack Arnold celebrated an outstanding 6th place which has enabled him to qualify for the English Schools Cross-Country Championships. We wish him future success and understand that only a few students from Cottingham High have qualified for this level of competition in the past.

Good luck at the English Schools Championships!
