GASP Cluster Festival of Dance

On 15 March 210 children from Years 3 and 4 descended upon The Junction Theatre, Goole for the annual Festival of Dance, which was organised by the GASP SSCO, Andrew Douglass (Dougie).

The Festival was split into two sessions due to the numbers in attendance.  Parents and grandparents packed out the Theatre during the morning and the afternoon sessions.  In the morning there were performances from Boothferry, Hook CE, Kingsway and Marshlands Primary School and for the matinee Airmyn Park, Parkside, Reedness/Swinefleet (Reedfleet) Primary Schools and Riverside Special School.

The Theatre also received a visit from David Burns who provided coverage of the festival for Radio Humberside listeners.

After fantastic performances from all schools Hook CE Primary School were declared the winners with Parkside Primary and Boothferry Primary School taking 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

A huge thank you to Dougie for organising another fantastic event for the Goole cluster and to all parents, grandparents and teaching staff who supported the event.  We hope that all of the children had an amazing day.

Hook now go through to the Partnership Final on 19 April at Cottingham High School.
